This public meeting and hearing has been scheduled by the DEP regarding the state environmental permits submitted by CDE Acquisitions LLC for the proposed Project Atlas data center campus in South Whitehall Township.
While South Whitehall Township maintains primary authority over local land development and zoning requirements under the PIRT Overlay and the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code, these state-level DEP permit reviews represent another essential regulatory checkpoint.
The upcoming session will focus heavily on Chapter 105 water obstruction and encroachment permits along with site stormwater management plans, making public attendance crucial for ensuring resident concerns regarding environmental protection, stormwater runoff, and watershed impacts are entered into the state regulatory record.
Residents who wish to offer official oral testimony during the evening hearing segment are encouraged to submit written notice in advance to the DEP Northeast Regional Office.

PS: Given our local officials and media has not brought light to this (at least not that we've seen), its imperative we hold them accountable for their inaction and publicly call upon them to attend and also speak in support of us! After all, they represent us, and over 70% concur on this project to be rejected next to our children's school.
